Port City is committed to the fundamental value that high quality housing should not be limited to those with high incomes.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality apartments, on the edge of Downtown, at rents that are affordable to working families and singles. Thanks in part to some funding from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), in the form of tax credits, we are able to offer the same high quality apartments and amenities that you’d find in a downtown loft apartment, at a much lower rent. In return for the HUD assistance, we must restrict our apartments to folks who make no more than 80% of the area median income.
Port City is an income-based community where rents are tied to income levels. For a one-person household, incomes may range from $24,200 to $48,400. For a two-person household, incomes may range from $27,680 to $55,360.
